Abstract submission deadline has been EXTENDED until 27th April.
Before you begin
All abstracts must be submitted through the online form below. Logging into the electronic platform is required prior to abstract submission.
The author in charge of defending the work will be responsible for uploading the abstract to the platform for review. If there is a subsequent change of presenter, please notify the Technical Secretariat.
All presenters will be required to register for the conference by the early registration deadline. Communications from presenters who do not register by this date will not be included in the programme.
Each person is allowed to submit two communications as presenting author. A person may serve as a non-presenting co-author on several abstracts.
English is the default language for the conference. All written content (abstracts, slides, and posters) must be in English.
Authors must indicate in the submission the preferred format for their presentation (oral or poster). The Scientific Committee will notify the authors which communications have been accepted for oral presentation.
Early Career Researchers aged 35 or under, defending an oral or poster communication, may request to have their communication considered for a prize. This must be indicated during the submission process.
Oral Presentation Award
Meat Science Award
Since 2016, Meat Science Journal has been recognizing outstanding contributions from young scientists (35 years old or younger) at the biennial International Congress of Meat Science and Technology (ICoMST). This year, awards (n = 2) for the best short paper and oral presentation will be determined by a panel consisting of the Editors and Editorial Board members of Meat Science. To be eligible for these awards, kindly specify whether you agree to give an 'oral' presentation when submitting your short paper. Please note that indicating a preference for a 'poster' presentation you will NOT be eligible to participate in this award.

Presentation Formats
We are inviting abstracts for two types of presentations:
Short oral presentations – Contributed talks will last 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for discussion.
Presentations must be prepared in 16:9 format.
Posters – Posters will be displayed on panels for one day during the congress, and authors are expected to attend the dedicated poster sessions.
The size of posters should be DIN A0 (119 x 85 cm; 46.81x33.11 inch) in portrait orientation.
We advise against printing of fabrics, as fabric posters may not adhere securely to the panels.
